Venus enters Cancer on July 18th, tinting all Venus-themed issues (love, money, values, self-esteem) with a wash of emotion and vulnerability.
Venus in Cancer opens the floodgates. It's no longer about flirtation or keeping it light (that was Venus in Gemini). Now, everything feels significant and hyper-sensitive. Love and nurturing become intertwined. It all comes down to this; does what you want feel safe?
Along with Jupiter's entrance into Leo, and Mercury into Cancer, the vibe is shifting towards unabashed displays. People will find it difficult to hold back. What they feel, what they want and what they feel entitled to (Jupiter in Leo) will bubble up, especially if love or indulgence are involved.
The flip side of Venus in Cancer is the lover who regresses into childhood, the smothering that masquerades as love, or the self-indulgence that feeds unhealthy habits. Cancer in your chart is where Venus will be attracting attention, or where you'll feel like treating yourself (or someone else). You decide how to use that energy.
Throughout Venus' transit of Cancer (until August 12th) she'll be making some notable aspect, which I'll write about closer to the dates:
- July 24th: trine Neptune Rx in Pisces
- July 28th: opposite Pluto Rx in Capricorn
- Aug 1st: square Uranus Rx in Aries and trine Saturn in Scorpio and trine Chiron Rx in Pisces
- Aug 5th: square the Nodes in Libra/Aries
