February 21st, 2019: A Difficult Day For Relationships

  • Moon in Libra opposite Chiron in Aries (0 deg)

  • Waning Inconjunct between the Libra Moon and Pisces Sun (2 deg)

  • Libra Moon inconjunct Mars in Taurus (5 deg)

A difficult day for the Libra Moon and relationships in general.

The Moon/Chiron opposition can trigger some painful issues, including feeling out of place, unloved or unappreciated. The mood will be very, very sensitive and hurt feelings are likely.

The Moon then moves into a difficult Waning Inconjunct, presenting an adjustment to the results of February 19th’s Full Moon - awkward dynamics of give and take, balance or compromise must be factored into the Full Moon’s culmination. You may not want to acknowledge a relationship issue, but it cannot be ignored.

Finally, the Moon makes another inconjunct, this time to Mars. Subjective, stubborn actions that preserve or encourage growth will need to be balanced with the above relationship situation. Someone may not agree with what you’re doing, or perhaps there are accusations of selfishness. Taking any action may feel inappropriate, but while it may feel like a struggle, a compromise can be reached.

In general, be prepared for challenging, one-on-one exchanges today. You’ll have to put in some extra effort to keep things civil.

February 20th, 2019: Uranus Opposite Pallas Rx in Libra

  • Uranus in Aries opposite Pallas Rx in Libra (29 deg)

Uranus makes the second of two oppositions to Pallas in Libra. The first occurred on February 7th:

“Uranus…opposite Pallas does suggest that liberating moves will trigger some imbalances. Pallas in Libra’s polite social strategies will be upended, or even abruptly abandoned.

Note that this opposition (a culmination) takes places at 29 degrees (the final degree). This strongly points to the end of a social issue - you may be liberated or surprised, but either way there’s no going back.”

With today’s repeat of this aspect (due to Pallas’ Rx) you’re not exactly going back, but you are reviewing the ending. Does someone need an extra push? Do you need to reconsider your finishing strategy? Sometimes a Uranus aspect occurs twice because someone is unwilling to accept change.

Pallas Rx indicates that certain aspects of a social/relationship situation are not quite complete. There may be a couple of loose ends to ties up, or a slightly different angle is needed as you approach (or say goodbye to) someone.

Consider this as a chance to get it right. But be prepared for someone (even you) to feel that what’s happening is not nice. Libra does not enjoy being jolted and Uranus in Aries has no patience for the social game.

February 8th, 2019: A Day of Disconnects

  • Mercury in Aquarius inconjunct North Node in Cancer (26 deg)

  • Pallas in Libra inconjunct Juno in Taurus (29 deg)

An awkward day with a couple of inconjuncts (aspects of incompatibility). The key with this aspect is to adjust both sides so they can work together.

Mercury in Aquarius is innovative or odd ideas (of the future) and the Cancer North Node (path forward) is about developing a new area of comfort and emotional vulnerability. But the unusual information presented by Mercury will feel jarring and may distract you from the place ahead where you can feel safe.

Solution: use edgy (and detached) ideas to drive you forward but don’t ignore core feelings. Respect your needs while being honest.

Pallas/Juno highlights the disconnect between Venus-ruled Libra and Taurus. Pallas in Libra’s strategies reflect another or are focused on being polite/liked/loved. Juno in Taurus is the relationship agreement that is about stability and self-preservation at all costs. Libra is the other and Taurus is personal survival. Here we have social strategies that clash with a set relationship commitment.

Solution: remember that it takes two but don’t sacrifice core values and security.

February 7th, 2019: No Going Back

  • Sun in Aquarius sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius (18 deg)

  • Mercury in Aquarius sextile Mars in Aries (25 deg)

  • Uranus in Aries opposite Pallas in Libra (29 deg)

Sun/Jupiter delivers buoyant energy that encourages you to have faith in something unique (including yourself). It’s ok to stand out, be yourself or take a risk, and judgements should be almost non-existent. Aquarius is very open-minded and Jupiter (in positive aspect) is all about benevolence.

Mercury/Mars adds to the above with assertive but not pushy words. The harmony of the sextile adds Mars’ aggressiveness in a manageable way, encouraging outspoken information that is delivered in an acceptable manner. Combined with Sun/Jupiter, today’s influences favour exploration, the communication of fresh ideas standing up for yourself with easy confidence.

However, Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) opposite Pallas does suggest that liberating moves will trigger some imbalances. Pallas in Libra’s polite social strategies will be upended, or even abruptly abandoned. Not a deal-breaker, but consider if any relationship plans, compromises or solutions have outlived their usefulness.

Note that this opposition (a culmination) takes places at 29 degrees (the final degree). This strongly points to the end of a social issue - you may be liberated or surprised, but either way there’s no going back. If this makes you uneasy, know that Jupiter’s influence suggests that this is a good thing.

January 26th, 2019: Getting Real About What You Feel

  • Moon in Libra sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius (16 deg)

  • Moon in Libra opposite Mars in Aries (17 deg)

  • Moon in Libra sextile Venus in Sagittarius (20 deg)

  • Moon in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn (21 deg)

  • Moon in Libra square the North Node in Cancer/South Node in Capricorn (26 deg)

The Libra Moon starts out on an upbeat note as the sextile to Jupiter encourages more social interactions, more hopeful relations and an increased desire to connect with others. Although the opposition to Mars can trigger some disputes that tip the balance (one person is aggressive and the other is passive) the sextile to Venus (ruler of Libra) continues the theme of friendly vibes.

So far, it seems like the desire to get along is predominant.

However, the square to Pluto will stir up whatever lies beneath the surface of social interactions. Relationships can take on an odd or hostile tone with a sense that that’s more going on, even as everything is presented in a polite manner. As the Moon squares the Nodes, watch for a choice and turning point - you’ll be looking at movement towards an authentic acceptance of needs while stepping away from outdated definitions of status, control and appearance. The tension of the Pluto square will have pushed you to this point - it’s time to get real about what you feel even though it will be messy and uncomfortable.
